Special Events In Bendigo

Easter Parade and Easter Fair..
The Bendigo Easter Fair was started in 1871 to raise money for the Bendigo Hospital and Bendigo Asylum. The Chinese people got involved in 1879 and they have played a big part in it ever since. The weekend of celebrations starts on Good Friday and end on Sunday with the Bendigo Easter Fair and street festival.

The Bendigo Agricultural Show.

It is held at the showgrounds in Bendigo every October. The cost is kids $6 and are adults $14. It has many rides,lots of food and fun. It goes for two days and the horse events goes for three days.external image fun-run-photo-4.jpg

Bendigo Bank Lakeside Fun Run
Every year Bendigo Bank holds a fun run around all of Bendigo mainly Lake Weeroona.it can be as long as 10km or as short as 4km and every one is invited to join in.

The Eaglehawk Dahlia and Arts Festival.
The Dahlia and Arts Festival is held each year. It incluldes art/ceramic/flower shows, quilting exhibition, old time ball, cycling criterium, half marathon road race, schools' relay, gala fair, street procession, Free Sunday Family Fun Day, Pet Parade, variety concerts, trivia and for the first time skate-boarding demonstrations and competitions.

The Bendigo International Madison (Bikeriding)

The Bendigo International Madison bike ride is held in March each and is one of the biggest cycling & athletic event in Australia & has a long & successful association with Bendigo.

BENDIGO CUP
It is held every year in November.during the Spring carnival. It includes fashion on the fields, music and top class racing.
Around about 1500 people go every year with horsed coming from all over Victoria.

Bendigo Heritage Uncorked
Bendigo Heritage Uncorked is a moveable feast, taking patrons on a wine and food tasting tour through Bendigo's architectural treasures. The festival matches the best of the region's wines with entrees from local restaurants, all in the splendour of heritage buildings. This event sells quickly so tickets must be purchased early.
